Dear Parents:

The Wakulla High School Gridiron Football Booster Club would like to invite you to join us for our next booster club meeting, (See ANNOUNCEMENTS Tab for date and location).  New officers are in place for the 2011-2012 season, and we are all very excited about this upcoming season, and what we can accomplish for our team this year. 


As we extend this invitation to you for your participation, we want to ensure that all parents are aware that you do have to be a season ticket holder to participate in the booster club.  All parents are welcome and encouraged to become season ticket holders.  In addition, we want to share with you some of the benefits that your son receives as a result of the efforts of our outstanding booster club participants, and the resulting support of our community. 
Below is a quick overview of where some of the booster club funds and efforts have historically been applied:

Ø      
Spirit Packs (includes team t-shirt and shorts)
Ø       Sweat suits (team sweat suit with number and emblem) 
Ø       Football cleats
Ø       Transportation on charter bus for games that are very far away
Ø       Monday After a win – burgers and drinks
Ø       Summer team / skills camps – booster club pays a portion of each players cost for participation
Ø       Security for Gridiron Parking Section
Ø       Meals provided before every game
Ø       Special equipment to enable the coaches to obtain the film footage necessary to assist our players in achieving the aspirations to
      play football at the college level.

It is not unusual for the booster club to incur annual expenses between $10,000 and $15,000.  

Our booster club supports it self primarily through a limited number of fund raising opportunities annually:


Ø      Gridiron Membership/Season Ticket Sales

Ø      Advertising/Sponsorship Sales (Signs, Program Ads, and Radio Advertising)

Ø      2 Annual Fish Fry events

Ø      Raffle Ticket sales for FSU season tickets (donated usually by Wakulla Bank)


All of these fund raisers take place prior to the start of the season.  Thereby; enabling our parents/booster members the freedom and time needed to concentrate on their player and enjoying the games.  I share this with you in hopes that you will be able to participate in our booster program this year, and help us to make 2011 – 2012 the most successful season in recent history for the Gridiron members and more importantly our players.

This is a call for your participation.  Parents, Grandparents, Aunts/Uncles – everyone is invited and encouraged to attend, as we move forward with our advertising/sponsorship campaign for the 2011-2012 season.
